Baroque riding boots, brown
These boots are nearly all one needs to dress as a musketeer or style-conscious pirate of the 16th century! Made from approx. 4 mm thick leather and thanks to the highly stable frame stitching these boots can be worn up or down. The shaft is lined with ruffle on the inside, and a thin cotton lining is also sewn in from the knee downwards. The height of the back is approx. 79 cm from the heel, and even approx. 86 cm on the front, which is fairly enough to reach the middle of the thigh even by tall people. The sole is made of several layers of approx. 5 mm thick leather and an additionally on-glued rubber sole.
Attention!
One needs to get used to the firm fit while accustom the boots. As with contemporary originals youŽll get two boots without distinction from right and left. The boots adapt themselves to the respective foot during the accustoming. Please note:
The robustness of shoes according to historical patterns may not meet the modern requirements!
They are quite sensitive to asphalt, concrete stones and gravel. These floor coverings did not exist in the Middle Ages!
we therefore recommend wearing pattens (medieval wooden overshoes), insoles or to retrofit them with rubbersoles at the shoemaker of your choice.
